are there any f1 oval tracks, i'm gonna be working on a track in my basement, probably basing it on the local kansas city speedway which is a trioval. i'm not sure if they have any f1 races there.
so are there any f1 oval tracks. i don't think i've seen any.
Sorry to say, F1 is a European sport, they don't do ovals.
F1's are extremely advanced machines, 0-60mph in about 2 seconds and 60-0 in an equal time.
They race on very complex circuits with left and right hand corners.
Here's an antiquated Thread that examined the differences between F1, CART and IRL
there is an F1 race held at the indianapolis motor speedway but only part of that oval is used. the rest is on a purpose built road course in the infield. that's about as close to oval as F1 gets. there no other circuits in their agenda that has partial or full use of an oval.
Wow, I didn't realize half of the track has no grandstands, that's kind of lame, I mean obviously I see why, but you'd think they could put some temp. ones up for the weekend!
