this will be a dc race just incase there are problems. we don't want to have to reschedule if there are timing system problems at the hobby works location

Thanks for getting out there guys. I hope this works out.
I am sure I can bring at least one L. This will motivate me to get the track cleaned up. I have almost all of the straights clean...next the corners.
Will there be enough tables and chairs for us to use?

yes, he has about 20 tables with chairs. courtney will start setup at 11:30 i think. those of use with track should arrive about noon.
we need to mark our tracks btw. i've seen this done a couple of ways. both coloring the pins or with initials written with a sharpie.
courtney will also have power via extension cords but please plan ahead. for example, i have an extension cord on a reel that has 4 outlets on the user end. this was less than $20 at target.

I know this is too late but I live in the area and can always help with NOVA events. I also have plenty of 50cm track and a GiroZ bridge.

Simpleskin: Let us know if you ever want to make the trip to Germantown. I generally carpool with at least 1 other racer, and sometimes 2, from Sterling. Takes ~ an hour, as long as White's Ferry is open (~1.5 if not, I still take 15N for a much nicer drive). I'd be happy to offer a ride or at least show you the way.

ccson,
could you please forward to courtney the following dates for the remainder of season 3 dc points series races to be held at hobby works:
april 07
may 05
june 02
teh begining of season 4 depends on if we change up the scheduling. i would prefer to not get too far ahead of ourselves in this regard. these dates above should be good enough for courtney to post an advertisement for the next 2 months. i'll shoot for having our season 4 schedule to courtney before the end of june but this depends on us as a group making some further decisions.

I think we should talk to Courtney about getting some demo cars also.
I think one of the employees would have to manage this and we would probably have to setup some open track time...or maybe a second track.
Maybe this requires more thought.

i'm hoping that by july courtney will have a hfay legal track for hobby works. this will make everything soo much easier on us.
yes, it would be nice if courtney had some rental cars but thats a money pit as we well know
i don't mind opening up the dc racing to the public provided they show up and are prepared to our schedule. we can always use inbewteen time for anythign else.

hey guys, I sent a couple of emails to Cortney about the RCP tracks. I haven't received a reply. Can one of you contact him and see if he got my emails? I've made arrangements and I need the store info..

brian, AWSOME!
courtney doesn't use email if my understanding. ccson usually handles the traffic and or phone calls.

ccson, i emailed you a list of suggested parts to stock (awd and mr-02 only)
for recommendations for ready sets, i would suggest any racing body really as these are all usually the most desired.

Hobbyworks Info
Hey everybody, I just got off the phone w/Courtney from hobbyworks and I got some useful info... First off, Courtney got a Mini-z for himself, he got one of the blue Mini-Cooper's w/the flag on the roof(MR-015), he also got the orange Jagermeister Porsche body for it... Now since he has a Mini-z for himself it seems that he has caught the Mini-z "fever" and he told me that as soon as they finish construction on the store, he's planning on doing a WHOLE SECTION of the store devoted to Mini-z!!... Courtney also said he's DEFINATELY getting a RCP Track for the store and would like to do a large track setup, which is good news for all of us...
Arch, Courtney told me to tell you that he needs a list from you of all the parts that you recommend he should carry.. He is just waiting to get the list from you and the parts should be ordered shortly thereafter... Speaking of parts, Courtney said the NASCAR Mini-z's aren't selling in his store, so he's going to get 2 of the special edition AWD kits in this week to see how they sell.. The kits should be here by the end of this week(May 19-21st) if anybody is interested in getting one...
Well that's all the Hobbyworks info I have.. It should be Very Exciting to see what happens in the near future... I could just tell that Courtney is all about racin' the Mini-z now that he has one personally, he was even talking about running all through the winter months ahead, so that should be something to look forward to also...
By the way, CCSON, your'e AWD Mini-z motors that you special ordered are in, they've been in the store for about 2 weeks....
