Great product from PN racing. Here is a picture of before and after of the installation.
After installation i noticed the knuckles had slight play, so i removed the E-clip that holds the knuckles to the A-Arms and added 2 shims on top of the shaft and put the E-clip back on. This does not change the height of the setup but it does eliminate the excess play.
I also replaced the springs that came with the kit, with slightly softer springs so I can get some suspension travel out of the setup.
Previous setup:
This setup did the fastest Stock GT time at the local track (Phea driving), but wasn't consistent.
Before taking the car apart and cutting
Pn instructions tells you to cut this part off. There is also a little tab that you will need to trim flat, the lower A-arm will hit that part.
Here is where I added the shims
Bottom side of the Double A-Arm setup
I have yet to try this setup on the track. But will return with results after testing. This kit was just thrown together for test fitting, I will also disassemble and add some lube/grease and certain joints for less wear and tear for the long run.
So far with this kit,
-I notice how there is less slop on the knuckles compared to the stock setup. If you grab the top and bottom on the wheel and wiggle, it will not move much.
-Suspension travel is extremely smooth, not sure how it will hold up on the long run since everything is metal on metal, but time will tell.
-All parts are extremely light, I should have done a before and after weight comparison. I can always just weigh the two front ends (stock vs. PN double a-arm) on a scale and compare.
