What about 901SM module ?

hello,

first question is when massive shipping of this module is scheduled?

second, what about those rumors concern low transmitting power on first released modules ?

regards

mferrini- The modules should arrive in the US in about 1.5 weeks. US max RF output is 100mW, Japan is 10mW.

Technically, it will be illegal to use the Japanese 2.4GHz because it does not have the FCC id printed on the product for use here in the US.

hello, you quote max RF regulation on US and Japan but, on my Japan module manual it says 1mw output power, just a 1/10 of max. By the other hand Mr Katsuhisa Nakazono send me the english version of the same manual and it's reads 1mw output power too. So it will be just 1/100 of the permited power I assume, if that manual is not going to change before ship the modules to the states.

To clarify, there will be or not differents output power between japan and US modules? If so, how this impact in a club if both version are used ?

please you anwer.

Regards

mferrini-
You are correct, sorry. My quote was for the maximum output for the regular 2.4GHz modules (RF-901S which will be 10mW not 100mW as stated in the manual, but I will have to get that cleared up with Japan) and not the RF-901SM. The Mini-Z modules output will be the same but with no FCC id, but I will confirm with KO Japan.
