Bit Char G !!

I got my bit char g today. (took 8 days from Jap) I love it! I also got the 3.0 upgrade motor with it. There is a big difference from the stock motor. The 3.0 is harder to control than the stock one. It has slower accel but has a much greater top speed. I plan to buy the 2.2 motor because it seems the perfect setting for a motor would be about that. I also got the upgrade tires. The stock ones(which are said to be medium) seem to hold the road better than the upgrade soft ones. The car is 2 1/4 inches long. The controller is 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches. The bit charg is a must have if you have 30-45 bucks laying around. Does anyone have the optional gearing for the bit charg? Is it worth it? Also, where can I get bodies for them?...I know ebay has some but I am only seeing celicas(which dont look that great).

MrMojoRisin if you got the tires for the Bit Racer, i think those tires are harder than the BitCharG tires......the med tires on my bitcharg have more grip than the ones on my bit racer....

2.2 is good for a start. After you get the hang of things, you'll be trying the 2.6. That's what I use most of the time. It's fun to play with the different pinions too.

There seems to be a supply problem from the manufacturer over there. Hobby Link Japan is out of stock on almost everything until further notice. eBay is even pretty low on stuff right now, and charging premium prices for the harder to find stuff. I'd wait until the supply replentinshes, and the prices go down.

The hop up I am waiting to see the effects of is the suspension kit. I'm sure these things will be plenty tuneable between the 4 different motors, 3 gear sets and the 2 pinions...

The tire sets suck IMHO. The soft is harder than the soft tires that come on the car stock. The slicks that come in the set (marked "medium" are harder than the soft tires in the set. I gess they'd be good for well swept pavement though. The stock tires would wear out fast on paved surfaces.

If anyone knows where to get more stock tires and different pinions let me know. Ebay has all the motors, diffs, and sometimes suspention parts but no pinions or stock tires that I have seen. Also, what if you break something on the bit charg...can u buy replacement parts, or just dish out 35 bucks for a new one? I havent seen any places to do so. Could somone please post some good sites to get bit charg parts please. Thanks

actually, i think ************ is selling a new american version of
the bitcharg made by hobbico...
seems like they haven't gotten their orders in yet,
but supposedly they are called "hobbico microsizers"
they look just like the bitcharg's to me....
either they are the same or they are copies i guess.

BBC5 you made a interesting discovery. Those ARE bit charg's(or a exact replica) They have the same antenna, and if you look carefully at the winshield and on the top of the car the frequency is on there. Same as Tomy's Bit Charg. Maby Hobbico bought Tomy or made a deal with them for their plans for the bit charg?? ...if they are indeed bit chargs I will be buying them from tower now because it beats waiting 10 days from Japan.

Well, the good news is that if TH has it, then we can source them domestically too hopefully and beat their price.

hmm...looking at the nicad battery...
what size are those?
are they n-size or something?
maybe if you buy an aftermarket battery,
the bitcharg/microsizer would run longer per charge
