Hobby Town Chattanooga TN

We had a great time at race night at hobby town in Chattanooga TN. I wanted to post a few pics I took at the store on race night. Our track setup was a small oval running on the slick side. I also took some shots at the tennis courts. It had just quit raining and we had to get the blowers out and dry the track . If anyone is close to the area we Invite you to come race with us. We had 2 new people buy cars tonight. We are really getting a strong following and the sales have really went up at the store.

Check out the pics!!!

pHREDD,

How is the "slick" side compared to the textured side?

Ninja, Glad to see you have joined the forums. I will have your cd with the rest of the pics on Thursday. I loved the decal work you did on your blue RX-7. Some of the other members on this site might be intrested in yout decal work. IT RULEZ I must have got your email wrong too because your gets kicked back also. Mine is fred.brown@att.net give me a shout so I will have your correct email address. It was Fun last race night...."Chunk Kicked every bodys butt" His RX-7 is fast....

Cool web site...u need more pics

TNB...It seems to me the "slick" side of the RCP track has more grip than the other. maybe its the GPM grooved tires I run. THe other racers think Im crazy but I think it grips better. THe Short Oval slick track wasnt one of my favorites but it was fun. Lets one hone their driving skills. All we have at the LHS is the wide L and we have to be as creative as we can...

I thought about trying the "slick" side on the Mini-Tile, but I'm just too lazy to reverse all the rails, especially since I don't know of anyone personally running on the slick side. Well, I have to go now since I'm off to the "big" races tonight--jet-quad car burn, demolition derby, fireworks, and racing of course.

Im running Stock Compound tires and I also believe that the slick side of the tiles has better grip but my fronts still push when i steer, maybe i just need to break down and order a ball diff. and a nice set of grooved tires like pHREDD's

If it gets real bad...several of our board members have made custom h-plates cutting them out of plastic (cd cases and credit card like material)

That might get you by until Thursday
