I have 2 of the 1:20 scale buggies. One is a mint condition kit in the box. The other I put together. They are terrific. I'm thinking of putting one up on ebay, but have'nt seen much interest.

There isn't much interest because they are so rare. There are collectors that would pay a pretty penny for them. They are darned near impossible to come by. You are the second person I know of that actually has one.
I'm not sure but you probably refer to the "Baja Bugs" (called "Demica" in Japan), released over 15years ago from Kyosho?
That's 1/20 scale 2wd buggy with 4 independent suspensions.
There also On-road version of it, called "Mini Stockers".
I've reporterd about them recently on my website.
I also write down the descriptions in English on the box for your help. You can see the picture of the boxes, too. http://www1.bbiq.jp/ikinari/smallrc/
I've had one for about a year and a half that I got from e-bay but I'm scared to run it because the tires are soft and you CAN'T get replacements... but they are fast and handle great... I was able to get extra bodies from some guy not too long after I got the buggy though.... they are called 1/20 scale baja bugs.. and I have the Turbo Optima

Herman, sorry I didn't noticed your calling at the other thread.
My MITSUWA RC SONIC are around half - 1 year old. Almost same size as MZM and can take 6 cell (stock 5 cell). That's a fun toy.
I was at a model show today and I saw an old mini dune buggy made by kyosho. It kind of looked like 1/24 or 1/20th scale, but ... I want that thing.
Does anyone know where still to find these things and how they were exactly called? I think that thing must be around 15 years old ...
I got ikinari interested in these guys about a year back... and yes they are rare, hard to come by and do cost a pretty penny. I have been collecting these guys for a few years now and have added lots of hard to find parts to my repair box. You have to be ready when something breaks... but I have yet to break one part. These buggys (and cars - Mini Stockers) are geared down so they really accelerate hard. They are not extreme speed stock, but are too fast for in-house running. You will need a track. Of course, ikinari-ENGINEERING has performed some killer mods.... but that is the next level. I have my Buggy stock but with 2 cell Li-Ion - maybe 17-19mph... and a Mini-Stocker modded with 7.2 NiMH, a 280 sized aircraft motor and RS4 Micro Wheels/Tires and it does well over 30mph.
All in all, wonderful car kits, highly recommended if you can get them for a good price and way ahead of their time.
I had two of them
One New in the box and one New built never ran.
I too was gun shy to run down the tires.
and the mini-T just came out and was more Practical, so I sold them.
I wish they were produced and popular, I would get involved racing them.
But to be the only one with one is no fun.
I suppose if I had a second set of tires New in the box I would have ran one.
