both.... they manufacture in japan and china... it's not fake if it's from china.... kyosho just wants to make the price cheaper to manufacture it... (someone please back me up, i'm not sure here), so look for some signs on the box such as the japanese made car comes with the brown box with a fabric handle... not sure about the china box....
YEAH but the chinese one SUCKS!!!!!!!! it always breaks down!!!
the japenese 1 (my first 1) lasted 4 for 1 year than the ESC fried and i bought a new 1 and it always breaks down!!!!!!!!! they just dont make them like they used to...........

Want to know were yours is made? flip it over, and read the bottom of the chassis, will say made in japan, or made in china...
another way to know, si the motor capacitors will have a little extra coating beyond the disk onto the wire... the plastic is darker... and a few other things... newer Z's have black pinions bushings wheel nuts... etc
yup... according to draconious just flip over your car and read the chasis... it'll say so... if it was made in japan or china... if i'm not mistaken the electronics are still made in japan... i've got a couple of cars made in china, and couple of cars that are made in japan... doesn't bother me, and if i drive them side by side i couldn't tell the difference...
when large scale production comes into play, again it's the laws of economics that begin to rule... products that are produced cheaper will usually translate into more profits... eventually they are sold cheaper, now if they can all lower it more so that everybody can get one...
basically i think that it's the plastic parts that are molded in china, japan supplies them the electronics, and most are assembled in china...
I beleive the entire china car is made in china, even the PCB... and motor etc... they are different... some PCB have markings on them white text saying what the components are, the china dont.... various other things...
