I think the BMW M3 GTR is one of the best looking bodies I have.
I have only tested it 50+ laps, and my first impression is that it have a high C.G. and a lot more grip in the front compar to the McLaren.
I don't think it will be the best race body, but I am gonne work on it and try anyway.
Some pictures before testing. (klikk for large)
After practice.

I must ask though, are they an aftermarket light set or a custom set you made?
They look great.

The surface is a rubber mat called "REGUPOL 6510". it have very much the same strukture, and appearance as asphalt.
It has great traction, and it is inexspensive, ~ 0,35 USD /sqft. ( 2,9EUR/m2).
It has become very popular, and is now one of the most used track surfaces on new tracks in Norway and Sweden.
MR-01: We use the original tyres (50#) on narrow bodies, and 30-40# tyres on wide bodies. If you use softer tyres, or foam tyres the car will tend to tractionroll.
MR-02: Most drivers use Power Tyre foams (medium or hard) in the rear, and 40-50# rubber in the front. I am the only one to also use PT foam tyres in front, but I have to grind them down until it is only about 0.5-1 mm. rubber on the rims. Laptimes is about 0.8 sec. faster with MR-02 (track record is 7.9 sec. on our track. )

Wow, traction roll at those degree tires... that's insane. That must be one hell of a surface. I didn't quite understand what you meant in lines of pricing... i'm going to have to check that out myself, I know a few people that want a track but wont lay down the dough for a RCP. Looking for a cheaper means of making a club track.
I'd love to hear more about the mats, where to buy them, are they available to North America?

Track surface.
Rubber mat : REGUPOL 6510 (thickness: 4 mm.)
The track material is used at sports arenas, and building constructions. It has an open structure so rain/water easily pass through. And it is shock absorbent.
This open structure also capture the dust, and the tyres will stay clean. And rubber against rubber have high friction.(problem with a smooth dense surfase, is that it collects dust, that the tyres pick up. Rubber against rubber with dust between, has low friction.
I don't know where to get it in US, but try to ask companies that sell rubber products, real estate developer +++.
To find out more try this: http://www.berleburger.de/index-insi...roup_DE&id=313
