Do I need to ream the lower ball joints on the PN Aluminum lower arm to properly seat the lower delrin balls of this kit?
I had to do it with my stock kyosho lower arms as there was too much friction without modification, wondering if its the same deal with aluminum arms. Hope not.
Thanks,

You should not need to ream them out. However, sometimes, there is a bit of an edge on the balls so after you insert them in the slot, you might need to use a tool to pry them and rotate them inside the cup. Once inside, it should be smooth.

i lso used some of the reflex white stuff to help polish the ball and alum arm once the ball has been installed. just make sure to clean it out real well as to not over sand and cause slop.

i also have always just used a small amount of the reflex white stuff in any manufatures combo and it always works great...

Just bought a low profile front suspension kit, the soft spring set, the reflexR low profile knuckles and the REFLEX RACING MR-03 DELRIN FRONT UPPER ARMS. All the other parts are standard kyosho. Here are some questions:
- regarding the optional soft spring set:
Quote:
These springs are 90g and 110g springs to complement the silver (130g and gold 150g) springs that come in the low profile front suspension kit. The 90g work great on bumpy tracks and the 110g are awesome for those that feel the silver is too stiff.
... So which color for the 90 and which color for the 110 g spring (the 2 colors in the soft spring set are greenish gold and silver)
- what is the value of the black spring (70g?)
- how many mm of spacers below/above the knuckle and above the arm to start with (mild steering setting), using 23-23.5 mm wheels and the standard kyosho

- what is the value of the black spring (70g?) Dont know exactely. It is very soft. Too soft for anything i have tried them on.

The arms should be straight or angled up slightly on the outside. More angle to the outside will increase camber gain. If you are struggling for front grip, increase the angle.
Try 2mm below knuckle. 0 between arm and knuckle. Add shim to increase angle of the arm.
Spacers on top of the arm are used for preload settings. A good starting point is slight preload so that you get close to zero droop.

The black springs are not even usable. Don't worry about those. When we got them made, they just made them too soft.
The soft spring set, to be able to tell which is softer, just look at whichever spring has more coils. In this case, it's silver.

Not at the moment sorry. I will see if I can take one at the track later.
Works like a charm for the dog bones in the front. The springs will push the bones out, and make sure they dont strip to the extent they usually do.
The hardness are perfect, and doesnt add tension to the suspension.
Made this illustration to show where to add the springs. Do this on both sides of the diff before inserting the dogbone.
