Battery and Charger for Tamiya M-04L

i have the tamiya m-o4l xb volkswagen kit. i need simple and idiot proof battery and charger for this. any suggestions?

nothing fancy or performance oriented. just good run time and simple plug in to charge. my son has to be able to do this if this gives you an idea... could be a cheap wall charger for all i care.

A Duratrax Pirahna is about the simplest/cheap peak charger around..,you only have to set the program the once, plug it in and press the enter button to charge.

Packs are a dime a dozen if you're looking for value...I've seen tow or three for one sales on eBay.

1. do i assume all 6 cell stick packs use the same size cells?

2. is there a cheap wall charger? i have a Pirahna and it's not something i woudl give to an rc novice despite the easy setup. i need something that is as simple as plug it in and when the light chnges/goes off it's done. this will only be used casually for fun adn not very often.

Try this, it looks simple and 2000mah should give you 15 or 20 mins on a Tamiya stock motor.

As far as I can tell U need a 6 sub C cell stick pack. Emu pointed out a decent charger and radioshack also sells 6 sub C cell stick packs cheap. Or U can get a MRC superbrain 820 charger which is a plug in and forget it charger and a venom sub C cell stick pack.
