Well thats not always the truth here... The Rs4 is a good car and handles better than the Mini-Z but it needs a little bigger track to be fun... It´s more expensive and you need alot of hop-ups to get that one to move too... The spare-parts are not even close to be so easy to get as to the Mini-Z...
Then you need micro-servo, radio, a small esc to make the Micro funny and the cost will rapidly accelerate...
*In my eyes the micro is a better "racecar" with more setups but you leave all the simple "fun" you get with the mini-z with rwd and drifting and the z takes more skill to handle right... No the micro is to much like my "old" 1:10 car who i sold when i realised how simple and fun the mini-z is to drive and maintain...
Pitzon my friend, you are mistaken
The Micro RS4 is in fact cheaper to hop up than a Mini-Z on most commodity hop ups!
What I mean by commodity hop ups is:
Rear ball-diff
Bearings (Although it ships with bearings all round)
Tyres Most alloy parts
Bodyshells (Excluding paint)
[I]Most[/B] modified motors, excluding the Orion Elite and BB300
Sure, they are too fast to drive inside, but then so are my MIni-Z's
I agree. And disagree. MY Mini-Z F1 is more expensive than my Micro. I got my Micro with ball diff and adio equipment for $80 and my ESC and HPI mod motor for free. I got my Mini-Z F1 for $120 plus I had an unforunate incident with my ESC. Plus I had to buy my own ball diff and motors. But my dad has put lots of money into his Micro. Motors, batteries, chassis, ball diff, and it would have been more if he didn't already have a radio and ESC. Plus, who needs alloy? On either car?
I have to agree with PITZON, he said that it's more expensive to make it FUN. Stock, the Micro can only be described as disappointing, it's no fun at all. It's not even fun with a few mods. It only gets to be fun once you approach the extremes and at that point you have spent a lot of money. Plus, the time I have to spend on my micro vs. on my Mini-Z makes the Mini-Z a lot more fun. The Mini-Z is almost always more fun, stock or hopped-up, while the Micro is a better race machine.
