Mini-Q = rip off of Mini-X

www.mini-q.com saw it in an ad in RCCA.

The mini-q/mini-x, in my opinion looks like a better chassis design to the Z. Its a let down by what looks like terrible build quality and crappy lexan bodies.

Plus the huge following of the Z means the hop-ups are superb too.

I emailed the guys that make the Mini-Q. Here's what they said:

[Mini-Q is a improved version from the same original designer. Most parts are supplied from the same manufacturer and Mini-Q is specially produced for QJet, with permission, according to our modifications. Also, we have better instructions, packaging, parts supplies, support and service, and we have 5 types of bodies available now and getting more in the near future.
(Subaru, Corolla, RX-7, Beetle, NSX). And you save S/H too if you are located in North America as our company based in Canada.

You will see the big difference when you get our Mini-Q on hand.

Hope this clarify your query.]

So i don't think the Mini-Q is a rip off after reading this.

All that plastic looks like crap to me... Seemes very fragile.... The only thing that impressed me was the placement of the batterys and motor... There is a good chance that car handles well with that low center of gravity...

It appears to be identical to the Mini-X we stock at http://tinyrc.com which is also an improved version of the original X.

Btw, our Mini-X prices have dropped; we'll also be adding an array of hop-ups shortly:
