My club is using Trackmate system and its lap counting system. Being used to other bigger scale r/c racing where we are using AMB with J-Lap or Sparc2 sofware, the trackmate lap software is really confusing on the timing summary as well as qualifying/race real time view as it will position the racer according to best lap timing not the ones whose leading the qualifying/race by lap priority. The summary is also confusing as when we select to sort by position the ones with most lap was position below rather than on top with position #1.
As per attachment, you can see on the Timing column, it shows numbers which we do not understand what it is. Can it be set to normal timing for example in a 5 mins qualifier: racer X 27laps 5:02 bestlap 9.56 sec etc...(just like a normal bigger scale race software). It will make comparison easier if 2 or more racers are having same total laps.
For qualifying rounds we usually use staggered start ie: the racer will be let go one by one and their personal timing will only start if he/she has pass the transponder line/bridge, is this system support it?
Is there a better race software that can be use with Trackmate system out there?
The Trackmate controller should be compatible with most/all AMB compatible software. I use Flipside myself at home and our club uses it as well.
We downloaded and tried the Flipside software tonight......it was so much better and easy to understand, just like what we are used to.....thanks TheSteve for your input.
