No I didnt get it from AE. They didnt have the blue subaru I wanted
Ill let you guys know when we will practice again. For now we will be at warricks this saturdarday. Here is the link with more info
Mike, I had ordered one the day after the incident and it came in yesterday, it is also smokey gray (clear) - talk to Danny since he needs it. I really want to try a blue chassis for the "bling" factor. I may do that on my next mini-z AWD. I think I want to start drifting my "second" awd mini-z w that lancia body A&E ordered for me.

Im not sure about the atomic tire, but I m going to order some kyosho drift tires, Im sure they can get your some.
BTW, can you share some pointer on setting up a chassis for drift ?
based on my experience w/ grip driving, if i wanted the car to over steer I would to the following,
FRONT:
-1.5 to -2 deg camber maybe w a softer spring relative to be rear,
maybe a little toe in? since we would be turning on power most of the time ?
REAR:
.5 camber, 0 toe, 0 to -.5 droop
harder springs related to the front springs if you have SAS middle shock posittion to outter depending on surface.
DIFF:
I really don't know but i would think you would want both front and rear equaly tight, tighter than for grip driving.
Dany, what ever happened to the video from this race? you know that video has some great footage that will def get people involved. If getting it in a PC format if the issue, I can help.

Andres never gave me the footage. Cesar just an FYI the blue/gray chassis is stronger than the smoke chassis. And of the translucent chassis, the clear one is the strongest As far as drift setup goes, i like the diffs to be similar to race setup which is a little loose on the rear and a bit tighter up front, and then set it up from there. if you lock the front diff you will lose transition and entry steering and if you lock the rear diff you will not be able to get a lot of drift angle without spinning out.

For 1/10th scale drifting what i am running now is locked rear diff -1.5 camber all around. I have a Tamiya TB-02 shaft and also a tamiya TA-05 with the same setup. Both chassis are with a trinity 19t komodo dragon. As far as drifting you will hear a lot different people running with completely different setups, so I guess is more of trying to see what fits your driving. front toe in: more understeer. meaning you have to feather the car more so the back kicks out.
front toe out: more oversteer. meaning the drift initiates with less featherinf. more smooth throttle is required. Again everyone runs different setups. For now I just let my team captain set up mine He has a miniz awd that I sold him and he wants to start drifting it and he might be able to help you more with your setup. He is pretty much the guy to beat, he beat felix in the last competiton and I know this saturday they probably make it to the finals again.
