Ok, brother hijacked my name. Yes, I have a few comptuers, but none are that small really. The phone is just a 7160 series nokia. Nothing that fancy there. I grabed a case off a 7110 series out of england and fit my old innerds inside of it. That gave me the slideing cover action like the phone that neo and them use. I also practiced on my SMT soldering and changed out the LED's to blue. That only took about an hour or so, and I learned alot.

As for what he is talking about in the machines I work with, most are unix or NT varients, and nothing really fance for most of them. The best we have is a 16 way SUN box, but we don't need anything more.

Talking LPR: Mini Laptop

Here is my mini. Just an old workhorse, Toshiba protege 320.

Bit slow for XP, but once it boots, it is ok to deal with. I simply will be using it for net access and pic downloads from my camera while in Anaheim.

I have yet to drop my Cisco Aironet card in it. Will do that in my spare time.

Cd and land line phone there for scale.

When you power the laptop on, it wont boot the OS until you place your finger on the biometric sensor.
It's neat, because it uses the biometric signature to log you into XP too.
So, if I had different users on the machine, they would be logged in according to the biometric BIOS and software recognising their resepctive fingerprints.
Bottom line, steal my laptop, it wont work without a recognised fingerprint. It wont even spin the hard disk up to allow you to (try and) reload Windoze.
It's all about security.
