I would have never done it to an old AM car for sure, but when it all went 2.4 the drive off the table issue dissolved real quick. About a month ago I had an F1 I was test buildinh with, forgot it on the work bench for a whole night. It just sat there, didn't move an inch! Now if that would've been an AM car, I probably would've had to conduct a search of the basement.
I recommend at least direct solder for the F1 because I have had a few instances with mine and others concerning poor power delivery. If I had a choice between switch removal or direct solder of power leads, it'd be the latter.
But just to be safe... I do both.

Based on this I went ahead and removed the switch and wires and bridged the solder pads. The supplied switch wires are pretty tiny, probably 26 gage or smaller, so they may be impeding power flow. I will try out the car later and see if I notice any difference.
Did you run the tests? Any findings on power and performance? Cheers
I'm still sporting the switch in all my cars, I like the convenience of the switch. I think if I were chasing someone that was just a little faster than me I might give it a try if it can gain me a tenth a lap that adds up.
