Special RCX exception for racers entries

We are going to be doing an all day try-me track at RCX in Chicago this Saturday.

http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36821

I'm hoping to get all the attendees into the HFAY series but submitting a laptime. Since it is unlikely these folks are going to be placing in the TOP 10, how does everyone feel about multiple attempts?

Meaining, A person may be in race #3 in the morning and come back and try again during race #15 in the afternoon. It is possible they will have two times submitted.

Racer A - Race #3
Racer A - Race #15.

Does anyone care? Or does anyone care if a person has multiple attempts at setting a best time? I know the rules forbid a "best effort" but I'd really like to get new folks into Mini-z racing and thought it would be fun for them to improve their times?

I was thinking time trials but the 50 lap format is problamatic and that portion of the howfastareyou.com website is down.

we could include them in the times but just flag them as RXC event times and score them that way. This way it wouldn't put someone as a diss advantage in lossings point to someone that would probably not be continuing in the series.

Or we could do a one off RCX and treat it similar to the BTE and just post results for those that ran at RCX, What do you think?

The flagging makes sense. I really want to give them the opportunity to see their times compared to others. Just exclude them from the series points.

So OK to submit with an "RCX" prefix and we'll know not to include them in the season points?

yes, that would work out just fine. I'll put them in the correct position but not score them with the points.

If they wanted to take multiple runs this would be fine as well.
