I think so , The new TTS engine is giving me some headache. Better performance but hard to test in all conditions. Moreover I find some extrange behavior from my club and home system.

Hope to have soon a better release.

Regarding your bug report

- The option check missing is not a bug. The setting define how the difference must be read when it is required.
- The translation is solved.

Next release (1.12.27) is in test phase and will come with these changes:

ZRound
  • Improvements and bug solved on new tts dispatcher
  • Text on "Finish line pass" cached (only for %p value). Other text reading are not cancelled if cached sounds are used
  • New "Time finished" sound event. It will be fired on race time duration
  • New Starting Lights remote commands to Pause and Resume the race
  • Issue solved on sessions panel window to show team and racer forms with the right sizes.

ZRound Manager
  • Export data (database & files) to zip file
  • Prequalify accepts consecutive best n-lap times qualify

Stay tuned.

Regards.

I've just used the latest release (1.12.28) for our club race. I've added a warning message before starting the race if there is any transponder not detected. On mains I've added the re-sort option.

The application starts faster as well.

Here you have the full change log:

looks promising!

can you tell me more about this previous update? we do team events frequently and i never knew zround had anything specific to endurance team events.

Endurace team races manager and team data display
curious, is there a way to break out the html results page to a format that can be posted/shared online? converting to PDF drops the graph image. Google+ for example will not let you share a PDF or html file (i could be doing it wrong).

"Settings" - "Options" ->
"Ignore freq colissions" - shouldn't this say "Ignore freq collisions"?

But the rest looks really promising.

Team races are endurace races where the same car is shared by a team of racers. ZRound manage team races since:

- There is a membership manager for teams. Members can share the same transponder (timekeeper must change the current racer manually) or have their own (changes will be applied automatically). Transponder assignment is checked to avoid conflicts.

- Turn time is controlled. Visual and sound warnings are included. New settings allow to set the "interval window" in order to complete every turn. If a racer run more than he should.

- Race console gives precise data (laps, position, times) about teams and individuals.

You can find further details in the ZRound Library

Regarding data sharing, I have and old wish: to have working the live site where users could upload race data online/offline and share video, chat and results. Unfortunately I can't find the the time needed to accomplish the work. For the time being you can upload the html and other files needed to your web and create some index page. The look can be changed by using the zround.css file.

For example, I've created a little site to hold the results of my club. I use php+mysql and links to the files uploaded form ZRound Manager with the FTP option. (See http://madriz.zround.com). It exists an inscription page as well which generate a .csv file that can be imported directly on ZRound (and save me a lot of work on our +20 people races)

I've thought on an export (or "copy as ...") feature for an easy post on forums but there is not an easy way to create tables (users don't use to be allowed to write html code on posts). I've not considered the f******k way.

What do you need and how to separate different clubs on a Web page?
I think I might be able to help you with a site for all races

We can use www.z-racing.org if you want to.
I got 20gb of disk right now. No Web site up yet, in case you have some preferences.

Storage space shouldn't be an invoncenience for the money I pay to my hosting company. Of course, people should become crazy with new toys and everybody could start uploading every single lap counted ... requiring me to sign a new and expensive hosting contract.

From the beggining data is generated on html so everyone can publish their results on their own. You know ZRound is just me and I pay from my pocket the hosting expenses (and other related resources needed for the project). That is one of the reason I don't spent too much time on the live site but the real inconvenience is in fact the lack of time.

The "simple" index page would be a starting point but I was a bit ambitious. I wanted to develop a new live site instead. It should have all you guys are expecting. To follow race online on the web server (real-time), race results, compare racers results and laps, video/chat integration, charts, etc. All on a single site with a simple but useful design. It means a lot of work on the server-side backend, client side html (I started using polymer) and ZRound itself.

Possibly I will start from the "simple" site. Better that than nothing.

Thank you.
