Corvette body on an MR-02
I'm looking at getting a corvette body to race with. I'm wondering if any of you have any experience running them on a MR-02.
I'm currently running the Motul Pitworks 350Z and really like it, but I need to replace my body soon, as it's stating so show lots of wear and has a few super glued cracks.
the 350Z has +1N/+1W offsets, the Vette for the 02 has +1N/+3W offsets.
any info would ge greatly appreciated.

are you sure, i thought the corvette was 1N/1W for mr02.
for mr01/5 it's 3N/1W I think.

I have +3W on the back of mine, just a little sanding of the rear wheel wells to get them to clear. It is not noticeable from outside the body.
Theres enough space to run +2N on the front

for those of you that run them, how do they handle?
the shape seems like it would be a good RCP track body.

I have an MR02 with the narrow PN tower kit up front, RM in back with the corvette body.
Ran it for the first time this past weekend in this configuration and it performed very well. Easy to handle and stable.

I changed from an NSX body not to long ago. The vette handles good, doesn't get caught on RCP walls, and the front end seems pretty durable.

so from what I'm hearing it's tight for the +3 rears tires? would I be better off with the +2's?
Arch2b, what are you running?

If you clear the wheel wells out, +3W will work, but +2Ws should fit with no problem

The stock enzo wheels fit perfect(+1,+3). I too have had thoughts of running a Corvette. I would go 94mm Midmount and +1 front and +2 rear and that should be pretty good. I've ran a modded RM Corvette and it was very stable. It's a great body.

so I've made the switch, I'll keep the 350Z as a spare and run the vette. I've set it up the basically the same as the 350 only I'm using +2 rears. it's very stable and I'm pleased with the handeling so far.

My preferred offsets are 0N/1W. I have good balance, and great steering. I find the wider offsets dont really increase the stability enough to cancel the loss in steering response.
I have been using the 0N/1W on all of my 94mm setups, which I can swap many bodies on to see what just the difference in the body will do on the handling.
At the Atomic East Coast race, I used the .5W ASF rear wheels for both my modified and stock cars. I like the way they look. Also, after removing the handout tire which had been glued, I sanded down the glue spots, and fit another tire on without a problem. I sanded just through the paint on the rim.
