OL MONSTER GARAGE PROJECT: Dodge Hemi Race Truck
This project was already half done, it's actually a re-do of the Hemi Dodge Ram truck.
The truck was repainted in race colors of red, orange, yellow, and white. Protective window netting, a lower rock shield were the windshield used to be, number plates, and new custom race decals were all added. The fenders were opened up a tad more to give tire clearance with the shorter GPM Alloy shock units, and a shorter cleaner skid plate was added up front. I did keep the Evil-Ram on the hood, I love that decal and think it gives the truck a little attitude.
This is a new direction for RCM, Holmwrecker, and myself at OL MONSTER GARAGE, we went through phases of Jeep 4X4's, rock crawler rigs, and now we are moving into race inspired trucks....not that we won't do the others , this is just something new and we are always looking for something no one has done yet. Of course whatever we do is always the very best with what is available. Holmwreckers truck isn't done yet (in fact it isn't even started) but he will be joining us in the race truck building craze.
Now for the pics of the all new Dodge Hemi Race Truck
OK, now let's see what everyone else can come up with!

It is without a doubt one of the best pick-up trucks i have ever seen.

Thanks Warfile, I actually honed my skills doing custom diecast cars, believe me working in metal is very hard. These plastic bodies are really easy to shape, cut, sand, paint, and build scratch parts for. The one piece bodies are especially easy, model kits take a little longer due to the number of parts that must be fitted, modified, and glued together.
As long as I can come up with new bodies to mod, the OL MONSTER GARAGE will stay open!

HolmWreckers Dodge Hemi Race Truck body was finished today and Holwrecker wasted no time breaking it in proper.
This body is based on the same Nikko Dodge Truck body that I and several others have used, done up in a two tone blue race paint.
Here's a shot of both Dodge Hemi's lined up ready to go
and finally both trucks together in battle for the lead
With RCM's Chevy Race Truck, all three OL Monster Garage drivers now are running Stadium/Baja class race truck bodies, all three of us are now back to stock sized shocks (which work better for general purpose playing than the long shocks which are great for crawling but a bit to tippy fo general driving) These trucks now rip through the loop-de-loop, take the jump well, and still do ok on the rough climbing obstacles.
There are plans in the works for some Stadium/Baja style tires in the works also....Mini-Pin Knobbies for the rear and Dual-Ribs for steering up front. The masters are done and ready to go to cast........but thats another thread coming.

Warfile, did you need one shipped from the states? They are quite common here.
