I saw an interesting post on FB recently where a group member was commissioning a limited run of a 3d printed Porsche RWB 933 for 94mm wheelbase and was naturally intrigued.
Naturally I dove in and committed to purchase of two kits. You can clearly tell these are 3d printed however it was explained that they go thru extensive post processing to clean up the surface and lines and the examples look great.
There are always going to be those warry of these types of transactions however the member has been very easy to communicate with as an expat living in Hong Kong and has provided production updates along the way. Current ETA is shipping on March 10!
It looks to have etched metal parts! No doubt it's not cheap but the design is unique for autoscale (using the term loosely for a body produced ready to fit on mini-z) release and don't know when the chance will come up again.
I used to have a "no shelf queens" policy, but it's getting harder with more rare and expensive white bodies, which I inevitably put in extra time and attention. Especially when I probably already have a beater version of the same body.
I wish shipping wasn't so expensive, but understandable, I guess.
