Sheets of Carbon Fiber
Who wants sheets of carbon? maybe to make your own parts from, chassis, suspension plates, whatever...
I post this as a sensor to see if there is a demand for it... what are you willing to pay for how thick/size of a sheet? I know some one that can supply it into the forums shop should he feel upto making enough.
I personaly regard this as a medium pushing high quality grade of carbon, not the best but far from the worse maybe a 9 out of a 10... its stronger then the carbon I was using for my bumpers, but looks similar.
what thicknesses would any one want?
length width of sheets?
maybe pre drilled suspension plate holes? and let you cut the rest of it out?

what thickness would you suggest drac?
i was thinking maybe the thickness of a stock hplate?
i really have no idea what's necessary for a solid chassis.
if the price isn't too high, i'd definitely be interested.
i'm thinking maybe twice a mini-z size rectangles that will allow
for double level cf 1/24 scale chassis....

6x6" 20$? (+/-) about 0.75mm thick?
Different thicknesses are possible... like for a chassis might want about 1.25mm or someting... but if it is 2 layers .75 would be plenty... cuz the 2 layers if attached right, would prevent flex...

i would use some, i think you should carry sheets of varying size, some with holes drilled for suspension plates, some a good size for custom chassis work, some sheets that are really thin for reinforcing things and making real carbon fiber body parts etc.

I cut mine with scissors actualy ones that are supose to be able to cut a penny in half, although only one time .
using a grinder saw on a dremel is a possibility but the dust is worste than abspestos... so cutting is always recomended.
You wont likely be able to make hoods out of it, its too hard and flat.. and would require mroe skill, like being able to add the resin to carbon strands, to make someting rounded out of them... all I can see is maybe bumpers, or CA or Epoxy'ed wings or someting.

i would only use it for the stuff like spoilers and bumpers etc but i think that it would be really good to use for stuff like H/O-plates, if you did sell predrilled ones i think that you should sell them with holes in many lengths and so they can be used for custom h plates . i also think that it would be cool to design your own chassis and make it out of carbon fiber

CF easy to cut!
For the Carbon Fiber on my Ducati, I have always had to modify it to fit just right. I have had great success cutting it with a cutting wheel on the Dremel as that CF is very thick compared to what is used on RC. For RC CF, like Drac mentioned, I have cut with scissors just fine!
I would actually use some Drac, as I always make a body kit for my cars, CF would be the way to go!

well this is a realy old post, and I have no intent on selling the sheets any more... there are plenty of places to buy it from out there now... just google it.

I'm waiting for the Hobby Visions show since they'll probably have them at the convention. I forgot to pick up some sheets at RCX.

if you read around on that site it states the thickness somewhere. i think i saw some that was 0.8mm, perfect for a mini r/c chassis
