What I got from Japan, besides truck load of miniz stuff...

Hi, all.

Couple of months ago I went to Japan, and came home with a truck load of miniz goodies and good memories.

http://www.mini-zracer.com/forums/sh...ighlight=japan

And besides shopping and driving and sightseeing, I also got time to watch some TVs. Immediately I fell in love with two of then the latest MV hits, and ended up purchasing two new CDs before I left.

The following are the links to one of my favourate song, which I have put on my video blog:

そばにいるね (Soba ni Iru yo) by 青山テルマ(Thelma Aoyama) feat.SoulJa
Translate: Right here with you

Interesting enough, there was a version of male version, where SoulJa will lead with Thlema.

そばにいるね
( Soba ni iru ne )

※1
Anata no koto
watashi wa ima demo omoitsuzuketeiru yo
ikura toki nagarete ikou to
I'm by your side baby itsudemo
So donna ni hanareteiyou to kokoro no naka de wa
itsudemo issho ni iru kedo sabishi n da yo
So baby please tada hurry back home
I'm always
just thinking of you, even now
No matter how much time moves forward
I'm by your side baby, anytime
So no matter how far apart we become, in my heart
we are always together, but I'm lonely
So baby please just hurry back home

※2
Baby boy atashi wa koko ni iru yo
doko mo ikazu ni matteru yo
You know dat I love you dakara koso
shinpai shinakute ii n da yo
donna ni tooku ni itemo
kawaranai yo kono kokoro
iitai koto wakaru desho?
anata no koto matteru yo
Baby boy, I' right here
Without going anywhere, I'm waiting
You know dat I love you, and that is why
there's no need to worry
It'll never change, this heart
You understand what I want to say?
I'm waiting for you

nna koto yori omae no hou wa genki kai?
chanto meshi kutteru ka?
chikushou, yappa ienee ya
mata kondo okuru yo ore kara no Letter
More importantly, how are you doing?
Are you eating like you should?
Dammit, I can't say it afterall
I'll send it some other time, a letter from me

Sugisatta toki wa modosenai keredo
chikaku ni itekureta kimi ga koishii no
dakedo anata to no kyouri ga tooku naru hodo ni
isogashiku miseteita
atashi nigeteta no
dakedo me o tojiru toki nemurou to suru toki
nigekirenai yo anata no koto
omoida****e wa hitori naiteta no
We can't bring back the time that's past however
I long for when you were close to me
But for every little bit that the distance between us grows
I tried to show that I was busy
I ran away from it
But when I close my eyes, when I try to sleep
I can't escape from you
I remember the times I cried alone

※1 REPEAT

※2 REPEAT

Bukiyou na ore tooku ni iru kimi
tsutaetai kimochi sono mama iezu ni
kimi wa icchimatta
ima ja nokosareta kimi wa arubamu no naka
Awkward me, and far-off you
With the feelings I want to convey left unsaid
You went away
Now all that's left of you is in the photoalbum

Arubamu no naka osameta omoide no
hibi yori nanigenai hitotoki ga ima ja koishii no
And now anata kara no denwa
machitsuzuketeita
keitai nigirishime nagara nemuri ni tsuita
atashi wa doko mo ikanai yo
koko ni iru keredo
mitsumeaitai anata no sono hitomi
nee wakaru desho? atashi matteru yo
The memories stored in the photoalbum
More than the days I long for the times we spent without thinking
And now, I keep waiting for
the phone call from you
I fell asleep with the cellphone gripped in my hand
I won't go anywhere
I'm right here, however
those eyes of yours I want to be gazing at...
hey, you understand? I'm waiting

※2 REPEAT

Ore wa doko mo ikanai yo koko ni iru keredo
saga****suzukeru anata no kao
Your egao ima demo furesou datte
omoinagara te o nobaseba kimi wa
I won't go anywhere, I'm right here however
I keep searching for your face
Your smile, even now I feel like I could touch it
As I remember it, I reach out my hand but you are...

※1 REPEAT x2

If I win the Powerball Lottery, I'm definetly gonn have to head out to Japan. But where's the best place for all the Mini-Z stuff including the aftermarket hop-up's? And where exactly is the Dnano store located?

Thank's, I doubt I'll win the lottery, but it is fun to dream at least! I'm trying for this weeks drawing......................Imagine all the Mini-Z's and Dnano's I could own!

By the way, how friendly are the people out there?

here's a link to some addtional info on hobby shops in japan - mostly in akihabara...

http://agusta.ms.u-tokyo.ac.jp/agusta/akihabara.html

i guess some of the shops might carry the dnano (not sure though)...

prices will be much cheaper than the official kyosho stores...

when i bought stuff in kyosho otomesando, prices were as tagged... no discount...

but when i bought some stuff on line (from a japanese hobby site), they usually mark their prices down on most of their stuff.

thread on my post re: kyosho otomesando
http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showth...tesando&page=2

there's also a new kyosho akihabara store somewhere (don't know the exact address though)

you don't actually have to win the powerball to go to japan...

my wife and i were lucky enough to travel to japan due to our free milage on our frequent flyer & credit card...

getting lucky again as we're planning to go to austrailia next year, also for free... and again due to free milage on our frequent flyer & credit card...

i'd say they're pretty friendly, helpful and cheerful...

although communication was a barrier, it wasn't too much of a hindrance...

getting around was pretty easy as their transportation system is very efficient... (you can forget using a taxi as this will prove to be quite costly)

I'm sure their transportation is much like London's subway systems isn't it? That was easy to figure out and get around in. Of coarse, it was English language not Japanese. That is why I was asking about their friendliness, it sure helps if you have friendly people to help you out in a language you don't understand.
As for the Powerball thing, I just think it would be much more fun and enjoyable if you have the funds to splurge on your hobbies in the land where it all began! Plus, being able to stay at their luxury hotels would be nice as well. I'm sure their high-end hotels are something to see.
As for communication barrier, I'm sure if you just say Mini-Z? Kyosho? You'll be fine? LOL!
Anyway, of all the places I've been to around this big world, Japan is one I haven't been but would love to visit.
To be a tad off topic, durring my high school years, my school took a few of us lucky students to Europe for Spring Brake and I've been to Munich, Switzerland, London, Paris, Madrid, pretty much all over. My favorite part of each trip I went on was visiting the local hobby shop's. The best one was a small shop in Switzerland called Model Auto. Small, but packed from floor to cieling with ultra rare, unique and very special model cars of all scales.
I would so much love to visit Japan and China. I'd love to visit GPM, and Toy East would be cool shop to visit as well. Anybody know where EGR Mart is located? Anyway, with winning the lottery, imagine the damage you could do to their inventory!
