Best practices for installing LED kits?

Hello all,

I would like to install LED's on bodies which do not have removable plugs in the lights to facilitate LED install. (Actually one of the two bodies I would like to do this on seems to have a plug in the back but not in the front)

What is the best way to do this?

Any experiences / suggestions would be welcome.

Which bodies in particular? Are they autoscale or white bodies that aren't assembled yet?

You might be able to drill a hole in the bucket and then goo them in place close to the hole...

The body I want to do first is the McLaren F1 body that came with the readyset (32332WB)

I have found a hot glue gun to be very useful in installing lights and routing the wires in the body. It's quick and easily un-doable. Goop is good if you're certain everything is perfect, but hot glue works just fine and allows easier workability

Thank you - this is helpful. Now I just need to find a good way to create the holes for the led's and all is good

I would use a manual finger drill like this one figure out which bit is the same diameter as the LED, and work your way up to it, using the existing hole as a staring place. I would avoid electric drill or Dremel unless you're really comfortable with those. Too easy to overshoot and drill through your lens.
