its belt drive at the moment for testing this coming sunday and maybe a time trial or two

Hi mk2.
It really looks lean and clean very well distributed too
I see some CNC pole at the front end, steering system, are those OME, or the CNC parts that Brian ordered for the final produced chassis?
Talking about steering system, any wiggle there?
This is my only concern about this superior chassis; I thought that at the end Brian would come up with the ball-join & linkage system he once blueprinted. To me a perfectly strict-precise steering system, is a rule of thumb in R/C cars, practically mandatory.
The stacked FETs 3X3, is that 3x3 on top only, 3x3 bottom and 3x3 top or 1x1 bottom 2x2 top vice-versa?
Let us know the outcome of your test as sun you achieve the right set-up
Enjoy it man
Cheers

hi richard, the alloy uprights are pinched from another rc car, just the right size
the steering has no slop and works very well, the holes in the tierod come small enough to work with plastic knuckles and easy work to make them bigger for alloy knuckles.
i fitted 2x2 on the bottom and 1x1 ontop, with thick servo tape underneath to hide wires and clear the fets off the batt holder.
you will see the results of one of the hfay time trial tracks soon

mk2
Thx for the info. It is a relief to me hearing about the 0 wiggle at the steering system.
Surely I am looking forward for your results and test-drive with the MRCG at the HFAY.
About the FETs pattern (2x2↓ & 1x1↑) would you recommend this same configuration but with 4562s for an AWD as for the MRCG too, with a 2.4Gz, to be used with modified motors as 35T and 37T? I am looking for an equivalent of 2x3 4562 from a 27AM for a 2.4Gz
Again thx
Cheers

i personally no longer like to use 4562 in my cars,i have 8898 in my 2.4 awd, with the throttle resolution as good as it is with 2.4 they should be good for mod motors
are your motors handwound and any ideas of current draw ect?

Good morning mk2
The 35Ts are hand woven with big fat COM from Mine-iec-Motors, the 37Ts are from PN Racing, don’t know the draw of them. But they can handle very well 8 to 9 min run with Orion HPs, the 35Ts just a bit hot at the end of 9 min. I use 2x3 4562s, I can handle very well their speed I’m a high-skilled, excellent driver so have no problem what so ever with the high speed they perform.
Thx
Cheers

Hi mk2
Are you asking me about videos? if yes. Not of mini-zs, I have many supervideo8 vids from the time I was team driver for BMT and Serpent, on-road 1/8 fuel. In some of them there is a excellent driver from the UK, Mark Green, you maybe know him?
Cheers

its worth the price if you are serious about racing or just like to tinker, even the its still cheap
in my eyes its a very capable chassis, even from the final design pictures it looks like a winner

Hi paul england,
Sorry to cut-in
It is a very reasonable price, the only problem I see is that at tinyRC they don’t have even a 25 % of the required complementary parts to assemble this baby.
Going back to the chassis, to me it worth every penny, I am only waiting for mk2 test-drive out come, as well as for TinyRC to stock the required extra parts to buy it.
The person that design this chassis did an excellent job and he prove it in some races he participate and accomplished winning positions without practically driving experience.
The chassis seems to be very resistant and you can mount auto scale bodies without having to make holes to the body, just snap-in as on Kyosho Mini-zs.
Cheers
