not sure how you guys are doing it but it's an enormous pita to get the wires soldered to the board and still keep the top cover on.
i have done it both ways with out any problems....however i dont stand my wires up like i have seen many do.... i lay my wires down running them under the dds plate
an option is to remove the top cover and attach the wires to the board and replace the top cover
then trim to length and attach the wires to the motor
5500kv sounds interesting, I know several people looking for solid stock motor replacement. I am waiting for the slower Kyosho brushless myself(blue in color).
