Do F1 Wheels bolt to regular Mini Z axles/hubs?

The reason I'm asking is that I have a closet FULL of unbuilt model cars (mostly Mopar musclecars ). I will eventually do some conversions, but the stock Mini Z wheels/tires seem way too narrow for the model bodies, even the wide CLK rims.

If I can use F1 wheels and tires that would save me the trouble of fabricating wheels that look appropriate.

Thanks in advance!
John

F1 wheels

wrcracer is correct.

The F1 wheels only fit the Racer's rear axle.
The F1's front axles are a lot longer than the Racer's, so the F1 front wheels rub against the Racer's steering knuckles.
The F1 and Racer front steering knuckles/axles are not compatible, so there's no chance of a hybrid solution either.

Yep...they don't fit inside even the widest mini z, so it would be kewl for your 1/24 or 1/25 stuff.

Now that's what I call rear rubber! Me tinks I may have to invest in some F1 wheels and rubber & see if we can't solve the problem with the fronts that Mondo mentions....hmmmm

Simple solution...go to a PROPER nut and bolt store, and purchase some bolts 2mm thick, and as long as you want. They are to replace the axles in the knuckles. Then using as many spacers as neccessary, build out the wheel til it stops rubbing, and whack on the F1 front wheel and nut, then using a dremel with a cut-off wheel, chop off the excess bolt, and neatedn it up so there are no sharp edges....I reckon it would work....I just don't have any F1 rims, but I know that a good nut and bolt shop will have 2mm bolts at a few different lengths. To attain a proper front to rear track (distance between the wheels left to right) you might need an F1 diff shaft, or the Squat extended shaft, otherwise the rear may end up narrower than the front, which would lead to excessive oversteer should the fat F1 tyres break loose. I reckon it would work...anyone wanna give it a shot?

if the rear is narrower than the front it would lead to UNDERsteer not oversteer.
