I.C.S port on the 2,4 cars

Are the ICS port on the new cars ready for use?

What is the parts needed for using this?

I have one of these and they are great. They do everything the computer software does. Very handy. Who the heck can or wants to carry a laptop to the track?

I hate to say this guys, but the ICS port for the ad-band does not have the same plug as the 2.4ghz. I am currently tracking down part numbers for the 2.4ghz ICS port.

Yo Mug,

I have one of these laptops that I use for all my R/C needs. I have RCP track editor, CORE, and the ICS program all on-board. The laptop is only as big as a book:

It's only slightly bigger than the programmer and it does all the other stuff that a computer can do ; )

For the main guy at the track who runs the show which sounds like you are, laptop is the way to go so you can do all those things. I meant to say for the average guy who just shows up to race & wants to program the car the laptop would be an overkill pricewise, spacewise, weightwise, potentialy damagewise etc., besides
they don't need the module even, they'll come straight to you for a quick tune up

Tim,

Thanks for letting us know. Wish that was not the case ? I'm assuming the board is still made by KO & if that's the case regarding the hand held module I wonder if there will just be a new card for the hand held module that will come with the new wire and the plug or maybe only the wire needs to be replaced on the module card.

Hey guys,
Have a look at this: http://www.slotracersleuven.be/miniz...08051219172161
Just click on the links and you'll be happy.

Maybe it's a good idea to move this thread to the ASF board?
