NEW Kyosho Mini-777 Buggy!

Kyosho released a NEW Mini buggy. It is similar to the larger 1/8 scale, but this is half the size. It looks to be the size of a Mini-T. It looks like a lot of fun! It looks Nitro, but is electric. Can we say "Nitro Conversion"?

Here are more threads discussing it:

I think it would look good even next to my dirty mbX5. I may have to clean up the mbX5 if such a "newer" photo op arose.

Been a bit of hype about that on YourMicro and other 18th scale sites.
Yes, it is electric powered, but I have to admit that dummy motor head/heatsink had me thinking when I first saw the photos.
Personally I'd junk the dummy head setup unless it served as some kind of functional heatsink for the electric motor.

Well, let's hope Kyosho decide to produce it.

I think that I will read a little more into this one... but the outdoor season around here is very very very small.

Yep, it is a heat sink for the motor.

Is that a dummy exhaust pipe sticking out the side too then?, why would they put that there?

The buggy in the picture is clearly a nitro machine, not electric

I think it is all dummy parts with the engine and exhaust. Yeah, it had me thinking Nitro too. It's a shame it isn't! I still have yet to see a chassis pic.

The idea is that it's a 1/2 scale model of the 1/8 scale buggy, in appearance only though since it's electric, not nitro as the head would suggest, it's just a heat sink for the electric motor.

I think that it was a cute idea to put the dummy motor on there, it really adds to the scaled rc look of it...

When a Mamba 8000Kv brushless motor is slapped in that mini-buggy, that motor heat sink may come in very handy. The temps in my Xray M18 have run over 200*F with a heat sink and opened up carbon fiber chassis running a 3-cell lipo.

I like the new F1's, the new Hummers, and the second black car . Those buggies are sweet too.
