What a difference playing outside. The sun/heat was certainly a factor, changing the track completely. I couldn't get the grip I'm used to. Changed tires (twice) and T plate and life became better. That was sweet.
Thanks again.

As for those 180's.....

Everybody better get stoked for a BTE in late August. One in Newton and then the high speeds will be back in Whistler.

Proposed layout for Sun Aug 12th

I wanted to use the larger area of Dave's to see what we could do with our cars.
The layout will be rather fast with a smaller technical area in the bottom left.

It's basically 31' x 44'

I MAY be able to swap some of the right hand straightaway for 50cm tile which would allow us to make the rest a bit larger and or add a few more turns into it.

What do y'all think?

To be honest and just from my point of view I like coming to the city for the technical layouts because it's way different from my track.

I'll do whatever though...just be prepared for uber technical at my house if we do that layout in the city.

I think a good race track is defined by its turns. I'd rather see a nice technical track indoors then a wide open track outside. That said its also nice to have variety and if others like it then go with it.

I will keep both of your opinions in mind, if I get a chance, I'll put something maybe somewhere in the middle together.

Some of the group is unable to make it out to Whistler to run the faster setups and the area outdoors @ Dave's is HUGE!

So, I'm at a bit of a bind, we just simply need more track!
I do have the 90-->100cm adapters.
Anyone want to bring some 50CM track to add to the mix?

I'll do my best to make everyone happy.

Everybody pay for my gas and I'll load the truck with my track. I could get there early enough to set a track if there's enough interest but I'm looking at $60 in gas at the very least.

Ask around...I'll do it if there's big interest.

Sweet! You think you could be there early & stay till 5ish?

If so, I'm in for $20!
Anyone else interested in having a wicked huge layout?

Now, we just gotta hope for NO RAIN! =)

There's also the possibility of throwing in as much as possible in the car and we can do a combo 100/90/60cm track with both of our tracks.

I can hang out until 5 just as long as:

1. We get interest for that size of track
2. My wife doesn't come with me.

Lotsa track talk these last couple of days. It's all good.
Just catching up after a week with the trialer, the campfire and NO COMPUTERS.

I'm gonna vote for Derek's proposal to cram as much as he can in the car, use Ryan's adapters, and combine it with the track we have here.
I like the fast layout that Ryan put forward, but I also like to be challenged with the technical stuff.

I'm sure we (Ryan) can put a good layout together.

Having said that. Don't tell Sarah that I voted for her to stay home, cause I don't what to miss out on the ribfest on the 26th.

So there it is.

I'll plan to throw what I can in my car and show up without the wife.

You made 2 adapters, Ryan? The 100 cm track will need joining in 2 places...
