MR-02 Trucks

A few of the guys at the local track have mounted slot car truck bodies on both MR-01s and MR-02s, so I have attached a photo of a couple of the MR-02 Trucks. As the photo shows, the bodies have just as much detail, if not more, than the Kyosho bodies--the bodies have men driving the trucks, painted metal screens, and so on. Regarding the handling, the person who owns the yellow and black MR-02 truck can drive the heck out of it and hardly ever flips over.

Looks good! I'd still rather have the racer bodies on it though

I saw that there's very little room for the motor to move up and down. How did they fix this prob? Looks so sweet though!

Very nice, I saw the photos you sent to Eric today. That is something we would love to do and have BIG RIG races!

You have to really see the trucks in action to appreciate how well they handle and the bodies are probably very close in weight to the stock Kyosho bodies so weight is not a factor. I’ve also attached three more photos of the big rigs, which I emailed to Eric today. Might as well share, right Paulangelo. By the way, the slot cars are “Fly”. I’ve also done a web search and located the following web site—Enter, Enter, Catalogue, and then GB track links to various trucks.

They look awesome. But how are they securing them to the Mini Z chassis? I see people using bodies from all types of sources, but I don't know how they secure them. Can you buy the plastic "latches" somewhere?

Unfortuneately, I don't know if you can purchase the bodies separately since the locals have been purchasing the bodies with an entire slot car. However, the price of the slot car is running around $60.00.

The bodies are also attached to the MR-02s by removing the body mounts from a Mini-Z body and attaching it to the slot car body. Another local did use pretty much the entire slot car chassis when he mounted it to his MR-01--this appears to have made the truck slightly lower, but he lost handling and now the local who first did the conversion is converting the other's "rig" to an MR-02.

And yet a different local, bought an Enzo RTR last night simply so he could mount a "rig" on it since he had been switching bodies with his original Enzo. Now he has a new body for his original Enzo and a new chassis for his rig.

that looks pretty cool... even looks like you can fit an overland rim under there...

if you look at the mini-z bar site, there were a couple of trucks that were done too...

60 bucks, sounds kinda steep though...

I seen the H1 autoscales hovering around $40.00 at some places. That $60.00 isn't to bad for the entire slot car.
