We have a club in the area. In whittier. We also race on RCP tracks. We meet on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
4 of us from the club would be interested in checking out your track on on Thrusday.
Rod H.
Christian H.
Anthony M.
John M.
We have a full set of freq's from 1 to 12 so the freq board will not be an issue.
I did not see a listing for our most popular class; Mini-z MR-02 stock. This class allows for any upgrade to the suspension, and any tire selection. No modification to the electronics or motor are allowed. We've adoped the rules for this class from www.HowFastAreYou.com.
We all have XMODS Evo's, but we have abandoned them as race cars. I also have a AWD, and an F1. But I'm the only one in the club interested in racing them.
Shoot me an email if you need more details.

cool, we are definitly there. We'll bring the evo's along just for fun (if they are still in working order).
We have a hard time keeping parts in stock for the evos. We break stearing couplers, dogbones, and rear diffs on a weekly basis.
The 02's are cheeper to run in the end and the parts are easy to come by.
I'll rip the x-speed out of my AWD and throw my hat in the ring for that one too.

It works out this way.
You start off by paying $60 for the evo., and $109 for the MR02 (we get a deal from a LHS)
But then the Evo starts breaking.
Rear Dif ($15) DogBone's ($5 each). So in a few months, parts have cost you more then a MR02 would have to begin with.
The MR02 is a work horse. We never break anything on them. The only issue we have is if you don't keep the motor bushing oiled or if you let the motor overheat.
Still trying to work out setup issues with the AWD. But once we do, we'll probably set up a AWD class too.

Check out my pics (click the link in my signature). We set up on Sundays from 1 to 4pm. I run a car club for kids. My son is 9. I started it for him and his friends, but it's getting pretty big. Kids range from 9 to 15. We've got a handful (around 6 or so) adults that range from 20 to 40 that race in the 02 stock class.
We started running A,B, and C mains last week. We have around 20 guys with cars, but attendance ranges from 10 to 20 per week.
Some of the kids are getting fast, but some of the guys (Dad's and uncles) are really stepping it up.
I'm coming to your race for sure on Thursday, I'm not sure how many will tag along. I'm looking forward to seeing your setup. We set up on my driveway. I'm looking for an indoor alternative for a once a month race where we invite all comers.
We are also working on purchasing a Core Timing system. Once we do we will become more involved in the HFAY ( www.howfastareyou.com) time trials and circuit race. Our first invitational will probably be when we buy the timing system. We may be able to get a large conference room at Biola University. I'm working out the details now.
As for the AWD, I'd like to see how you have it set up. I've spent most of my time getting our 02's dialed in. I've given up on the XMODS, but I'm real interested to see how you guys are running them.
talk to you soon.

Just checked with two of the guys. Three of us should make it tonight. I tried to rally a few more, but they have other things to do.
From the pic I assumed this was an enclosed space. Is it going to be a problem if it rains?
We may run the car club at a local gym this sunday becouse of rain. Still trying to work out the details with the owner.
See ya tonight.

Oh yea... I got 4 wide radius sections and two 45deg kits in the mail yesterday. It's more track then I thought it would be. Haven't had time to set it up yet, but will do before track day on sunday. I'll post pics of the new layout.
