They are taped or screwed in. With a few cars running they hold up fine. However, with 6 or more cars running at the same time that's a different story.

Since I rarely use brakes I kind of prefer the 01 setup. Gets me off the wall quicker. Maybe if I used brakes more I wouldn't end up there in the first place.
