I keep our points tally seperate from core, it will give you the points based on what you put in for the scale for each race. I don't beleive that it will keep them and tally them up for a points series.
if you are interested I can send you the excel file that I created to tally our points.

Thanks Brainkstan, but we already have one. I thought I could summ all up in CORE, without having another place to store and sum up the points.
Anyway, where does core show the points to each driver for each race?
In the .corerc file I see the scale used, but WHERE ARE THEY ASSIGNED?
It's too bad the Rank.html file is valid per round, and not per Event / Category

if you look in the folder in C:\corespeedway\data\ and look under the event that you are looking for the point for, there will be a file called total_points.html op it and yuo will see the points scored for each race.

Never saw that file. When is it created? We ran complete events and no total_points.html appeared nowhere.

If you look in the .corerc file, you can change the points assignments in there on the bottom of the file. If you want a point series, create an event, for example "Mini-Z Fall Point Series". Then, create a subcategory under the event, for example "Day 1 - Oct 1". Runs races as normal under this subcategory. For the next race, create "Day 2 - Oct 8"... You can name it whatever you want. You will get a total points html file if two or more subcategories exist. For each day, there is a separate points file created as well. Points will be added for up to "Max Race Dates" which is set in the .corerc file. So, if it is set to 10 and the driver ran 12 races in the point series, the top 10 races will be tallied.

Fantastic. Thanks Core. That's what I wanted to read.
We'll give it a try starting this next weekend when we are starting our new Stock Tournament of 5 dates.-

I just think you would have to keep everything seperate.
Racer Series
Overland Series
F1 Series
that way you don't end up with point from a F1 race in with the Points for a Racer race.
I will be using this system for our next point series starting in January.

For points,
We create an Event, and then each race is a category:
For example:
Olaps Season 2 Jr.
.....- Race 1
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
.....- Race 2
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
you will find a totolpoints.htm file in the directory for \Olaps Season2 Jr.
At the end of the season, we are going to award prizes. We dont' want the dads times to mess up the points for the kids, so we have another Event
Olaps Season 2 Sr.
.....- Race 1
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
.....- Race 2
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
Points for this event are kept in totolpoints.htm file in the directory for \Olaps Season2 Sr.
We just switch events thruout the day.
So it's all about how you want to do it. If you want to have some sort of Triathalon event and have a winner for the day do this...
Triathalon 2006.
.....- F1 Race
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
.....- MR02 Race
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
.....- Pan Car Race
.......- Qualifiy
.......- Heat 1
.......- Heat 2
Does this answer your question?
