How are future bodies choosen?

Tim,

I have a question for you. In how far is the American distributor involved in choosing new bodies for the MiniZ series, and does this also apply for other distributors?

Do you have any other information on how Kyosho chooses its bodies, is there any way that customers can be involved in those choices?

Thank you in advance..

HaCo.

Maybe they could present a list of 20 cars they are ' thinking' of doing and then have us vote on that.

At least partial involvment might be fun.

I would like to see more involvment in the US market. As many posts on classic muscle cars in the "Bodies that you want" threads. Some of those cars have appeal even in Japan I am sure.

on a serious note, there is really not an easy answer for this question. But I will look into this a bit, and see if there is something I can come up with.

Please do. I am a devout Alfa Romeo fan (daily driver too) and was really happy when the 156 was finally released. What I think would sell a lot more would be one of the Selenia race prepped bodies. This isn't so much a request but an example. It seems obvious to me that the race model would sell more than the stocker and I was just curious as to how the decisions are made.

I totally agree with Firaz. The alfa romeo race version would have perfectly fit with the vauxhall race car...

Something that I would really like too is that Kyosho would get involved with some real race series. Let's say FIA GT (or...) and then they make the 3 (or more) top models out of that series. Just like they do with JGTC. And for historic cars, that they would take an "era", like the Gr A era, with a Ford Sierra Costworth RS500, BMW M3 E30,...

They could as well take Gr 4 or Gr 5, I am very sure that this idea would appeal to the japanese market too.

Of course they can't make everything, but if you see what slotcar companys can do...

lets not forget the kyosho/minichamp conenction and kyosho's own die cast series.

lets not turn this into a we want x,y,z, thread as there are lots of those we can link to rather than begin listing x,y,z all over again. general lines of ideas are good though like the past/present racing series.

Once you have paid for the license, all you need to do is produce a proto, on what ever platform ie; 1/10th or 1/28... and submit it to the company for approval.
