Hi people
Does anyone know if the first xmod upgrade kits will fit any of the new EVOs,
Things think Bearings, Stage 2 motors, Steering and subspension upgrade kits.
Nope Evo's were a complete redesign, the only things that will fit are, wheels/tires, the command logic lights set (not the undercar one) and the crystals. motors can be made to fit with a bit of soldering and hacking, but then you'd still be missing the gears so there is no point.
Im thinking about it mate ive got a iwaver 01 but i havent upgraded anything on it yet Ive also got a xmod.
I did have the old xmod with alot of upgrades but ive just brought the new evo model because my old one had steering servo problems
Were do you race? At the moment i only use imne at my work as i work at a primary school as a site supervisor so the school hall wooden floor makes a great surface to run on.
Hi Mate, how's it going? I know we've had some E-Mail exchanges before on various aspects of these cars but you should really come along to practice with us, Programmers here races with us at the Stafford setup. We've got some good lads come along and once a month have 9 hours of practicing/racing/messing with these small scale cars, I'm sure I've mentioned it in the past.
As in other threads, we're racing again on Sunday 13th May - it's a relaxed day - no pressure, come along and experience your car on the No.1 racing surface!
Hi johnny hows it going mate, As you can see ive moved away from the iwaver 01 and gone to the xmods due to the fact that i can get upgrade parts easyer for the xmod.
I may come to next weeks race day to take alook.
What are the details for next sunday, is there ant fees etc
i also race there,my first time was last month
its free for your first day and 5.00 any other time, bring your xmod ill be taking a few of mine on the 13th

While your online could i ask if you know that if i was to put the awd on my evo xmod would that improve the cars handling for drifting.
I tryed it out last night with the drift tyres i has got for my 1st gen xmod and it was all over the place.
We was also testing my cuzs new Tamiya TT 01 out which he also has done up with dritf tyres and my good it was fun
I'd say that the AWD kit would no doubt help with drifting if it's only running 2WD at the moment but I'm the last person to be advertising XMods to be honest! Please do contact me offline to discuss future possible racing and more on the cars.
