Season III is over and what a great time it was. Mini-AZ finished very well (won't know quite how well until the results are posted, but well I'm sure).

Now begins Season IV, and time for us to prove our good finishes weren't just luck. With the new HFAY Spec motors we will see the fastest season yet, demanding even greater driver discipline to stay out of the walls and get that car around the track.

Emergency change in plans. This Saturday will be both an OLPS and AZGT day. (Posting in both threads so neither schedule is missed)

We just discovered that everyone is busy in September, with our only available club date on the PN Regional race day (September 29th). So, we are going to run the September OLPS (Race #5/6) in the morning on August 18th, and the AZGT in the afternoon.

The schedule below is a guide and will be altered on-the-fly to fit things in as necessary. To get this all in will be an extremely long and busy day, so please have your cars and batteries ready to go so you don't miss your Heats.

To squeeze the time down I'm eliminating the CW Practice Sessions as we usually get sufficient time after track setup. There will still be CCW sessions to get warmed up in the other direction so we don't drive like clown cars.

Mini-AZ is off to a great start for Season IV. Some difficulties in the second race set some drivers back, but they recovered well enough to keep near the top of the total standings. New faster motors, tough tracks, and the return of the talented DOW racers- This will be a very challenging and fun season.

Here's the Mini-AZ results for Race #3 and 4. A few of us seemed to struggle a bit more in the Clockwise round. I gave my AWD car a try this time out. Well, its just not there yet. You can see in the CCW round I did significantly better switching back to my MR-02.

We enter the next-to-last race of the season with Brad holding the lead, Spoon only 27 points behind in 2nd, and Hood 47 points down in 3rd. And 4th-6th are within 100 points of first with four races to go.

I switched to my Murcielago this month and saw a big improvement in handling allowing me to break into the top ten. Then the steering went away in that car, too! I opened the VR sensor pot in both my MR-02's and hit it with motor spray. In both cases the snap-twitch steering went away.

We also welcome Wes into our driver stable. This is his initial score.
