Another truck??? ....

Yup, got another xtruck a while ago, this is how it looks when I first got it in the mail.

Then I installed a lift kit and relocated the batteries. (Great for wheelie)

But I still not satisfied with it, so I deiced to go with 2.4GHz PCB, the xmods PCB just doesn't works for me, very slow response and can't even turn. So I installed the 2.4GHz PCB on it now with the stock mini-z AWD motor. The wheels are Aoshima Super swampers (brand new), Kyosho mulit off-set rims with AM alum. lug nuts. I'm still not happy with the drivetrain, its very rough. I'm planning of getting some bearings, better motor and some GPM for it.

On/off switch have been mounted on the side of the chassis, so it won't get turn off by the rocks while going off-road.

Got the 4WD upgrade in the mail few days ago and just got my AM shielded bearings and AM stock bb motor in the mail today.

Here's a video of the xtruck in action. Not a perfect video, only had 1 hand to drive it while the other hand is holding the camera.

Update: Got the model today!

Update:

Bye Bye, old xmods parts.

Hellooo, new GPM.

I also put spacers between the bearings and knuckles, to keep everything nice and tight, it also helps keep the dirt off the bearings.

Took out the xmods shocks and use cut down gold GPM springs and put it on top of the knuckles.

Thanks boohoo, I'm planning on finish this project up ASAP, mostly because I want to get ready for snow, my other 3 projects will be on hold for now. As for the color, I either will go with the look on the box, or white & silver. No idea yet, any suggestion?

Update: Front wheel well finished.

It also work as a front body mount.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with a two tone paint scheme. Maybe make it looks like the box, or silver & white. I am also thinking of making some custom flares, to make it looks like an arctic truck.

Update: Re-design the PCB area. It was kinda messy earlier, with all those wires sticking out. So now I have made the PCB sit lower, and made a case for the PCB and for the other side, I used a flat piece of styrene to hide all the wires. This way it looks better, and also help save some space for the interior.
