Bump. Any thoughts? I have no experience with Sports FHS boards, but if the old AM board could push an F1 around the track, I would expect the Sports board should be able to do the same.
Thank you both. I was just reading in a different thread that the original Sports board (RA29) has space for a second pair of FETs on the underside whereas the Sports 2 board (RA33) does not!
If you limit yourself to a 6T pinion with a 50 turn or less motor (Kyosho X Speed, for example), I'll bet you will have no problem. The old AM F1 cars used to ship with X-Speed motors and we all know how prone those old boards were to cooking FETs.
Don't quote me though If you do try it, just take it easy and check the temperature of the FETs every few laps until you're sure they're not heating up like crazy. It's normal for them to get warm of course.
