Kyosho MR015 Lock rear diff?

Hi I just got a MR015 RTR from a friend in Japan.

Is it possible to lock the rear diff. Sorry if I am getting the parts confused.

Thank you for your time and passion for miniZ R/C

Sure, but why would you want to? For the stock diff just fill it with putty or glue. For a ball diff just tighten it up.

Go kart set up? You could open it up and pack in thick grease in there or super glue it to lock it up. I would rather use thick grease instead of superglue that way it would be easier to "unlock"...

I used the putty trick!

I am trying to drift a 2wd like they do in Japan. However, the car they use is the MR03 with gyro. So, the project is on hold. I believe they have conversions kits but the electronics doesn't support gyro I believe.

Price is another set back. Might be better to just buy a used MR03. I can't use the sport because sport gyro is not as fine tuned with ics.

Thank you for your passion for mini Z r/c
