IRF 7389 + 3004 + 7804 Mini-z Brakes???

I have gotten some 7389 from drac a month ago. (BTW thanks drac!.. They arrived safely...) successfully stacked 3x2 7389 (STackXRow). then try to test the car. its behaving very sluggish for the forward driving. so I redo the solder and restack now the barckwards behaving very sluggish...
so I decided to add back the 3004 to the top of the stack.,, and the final stack is 3x2 7389 + 1x2 3004.. The car responses like before. no more sluggish in both forward and backward. so i guess it not the solder joints problem.

While I was doing all these, I found out how those 2 FETS actually work. Then I have an idea of adding a brake to it instead of the REVERSE.

Maybe u guys can tell me if this idea will work or not..

(First some pinout description. I decide to label the 7389/3004 Pinout from top to bottom, with W55E is on the left of motor FETS)

S1 +VE motor
G1 +VE
S2 +VE
G2 +VE

S3 -VE
G3 -VE
S4 -VE
G4 -VE

The idea is to disconnect the stacked legs S4 and G4 and S1 and G1 from the PCB.(maybe easiler to remove all 4 legs from the STACK all together.)
These 4 pads or pins are responsible for the REVERSE ciruit.
then ADD a new seperate FETS say...

N-ch irf7804(S,G,D see datasheet for 7804) to the S1 and G1 PAD using jumper wires. add an extra jumper wire from -VE motor contact to S1(or S).
S1 -> S on 7804 -> -VE motor contact
G1 -> G
+VE motor contact -> D

so whenever the Vg1s1 goes HIGH, the 7804 will be ON and short the motor. in other words u got brakes on ur Z.

I think it will work although I have not tried it yet. cos i dont have a backup mini-z board if my plan doesnt work. need to find a beatup old mini-z board to test it.

I'm sorry coz i couldn't answer your question. But i have something that i would like to ask. The local pro shop here offer FET upgrades, but there's only 3006 available. Does 3006 worth it? or should i wait for 7389?
