Mad Max Body Sets out!!!!

Hobby_Link_Japan has the BODY SETS in stock and now available- both the clean and the "dirty" versions. The price is about $27.00 US plus shipping each.

I put my order in last night! I have been drooling over this car forever, and I wasn't able to get in on the group buy here for the ready-set.

Go to ********, and search under Aoshima (the maker of these bodies for Kyosho).

FYI!

Now if it's a body set like an autoscale I will be very interested in that.I just wish they done the Mad Max one without the tanks in the back.I guess the 2nd film was more popular in Japan than the 1st one.I think the car looked better in the 1st film anyway.

Hammer...

When I got the order confirmation from HLJ, it said right in the item description "Body Set Auto Scale Collection Series".

These are the real deal!

Road Warrior

I ordered the Dirty Version (The manufacturer calles it the Weathered Version) of the MFP Interceptor Ready Set from the Mini-ZRacer.com shop.
I know there is a limited number, so I couldn't resist.
Of course, you have to buy the "Weathered Verion" as the Interceptor with the boot mounted fuel tanks first appeared in the Road Warrior (Mad- Max-II), so it makes sense.
I couldn't justify the "shiny version" with the boot mounted fuel tanks, they should have closed the boot up on the shiny model.

Call it nitpicking if you want...

'Mad Max' was a low budget Australian cult film that put Mel Gibson on the map.

The real star was the "Interceptor", an Australian Ford Falcon that was modified into a blown police car driven by Max.

The follow-up film to 'Mad Max' was 'Mad Max: The Road Warrior'. Both movies featured the Interceptor. The last movie, 'Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome' didn't have THE Interceptor in it.

There is a fourth 'Mad Max' movie in production right now!

Aaah. Thanks for the info!

That movie must've been before my times (judging from the design age of the car)
