I was planning on preordering 10, although the more I think about it I may get 12-15 instead. You want 2, I would not be surprised if Drinian would want 2, I want at least 2, Draygo wants 1, I bet Gasser would get 1 which is 8 out of the 10 I planned on getting.
For the others, please post if you want me to preorder you a motor also....

Power Is Nothing Without Control
Thanks! Im looking into getting set up for next years season. I read the rules from the HFAY site but never saw a specific motor which is why I asked the question.
The new motor looks great!!! It will be really nice to have access to the commutator for cleaning and the pre drilled screw holes for mounting with aftermarket mounts is a relief for me.
MORE POWER...... I already have a problem with the extra power generated with the MA-010 motor and the 3010 fets. I am really having a problem controlling the car and have been scrambling trying different setups and tires in an effort to find something predictable.
Does anyone know what the performance level is on the new motor compared to the MA-010 motor? How about amp draw? Will the new motor mean shorter run times on a set of batteries? How about fets? will there be a problem with 3004 fets?
Is running this new motor a requirement for competing in the HFAY OLPS? Hope not. Newer drivers do not need more power and it would mean that a new driver can not compete with the new stock mini-z he just bought.
Depends on where you want HFAY on line raceing to go. I envision the potential of car and track being sold at a mass merchant or chain. As of now the rules are simple and the equipment needed is minimal. A single page flyer introducing HFAY OLPS could come with all RCP track and/or with all mini-z racers. After all, Kyosho, RCP and the shop all benefit from the growth of the series. With a minimum of two buddies you are a club and can compete. The potential is HUGE. Seems to me that it could be 1500 clubs competing instead of 15. Where do you want the series to go?

The new motor is not required (but recommended). I would suggest the newbies stick with the Kyosho Stock motor until they get comfortable with it and then advance to the HFAY Stock Motor.
the plan is always to grow. I see this as a step in the right direction. I have always said just because the motor is fast doesn't me you have to always drive it that way. 1500 clubs would be sweet and something to aspire to for sure.
I would eventually see us being able to package a deal with RCP and possibly Kyosho (for the core system), or GiroZ. or one of the other systems at a discounted price to sell on a club level or a packgage deal for those that are going to compete.
Glad to hear the new motor is not "required" to compete. My control problems aside, I ordered 10 yesterday
I contend that the way to really grow the online series is to sell the package to the chains not the clubs. If you sell the chains new racing clubs will form in order to compete. Others will join up with existing clubs. I believe it could be done now. The Kyosho rep and The RCP guy both are sharp marketers. RCP has already experienced a chain store score with Xmods. What was lacking for sustained growth was the online series. It now exists! The lap counting system is the only issue still outstanding. Whether CORE or another, if it had the ability to save results and upload the race result information directly to HFAY for automatic sorting it would rock!
