HFAY Season 25, Ready, Set, GO.
Hey Everyone, this is Ty from PDX Mini Z in Portland Oregon. We are newer to the HFAY series the last couple years. We love it. We have a growing club and people are excited to help out in the interim or as long as needed (or we have energy ) to help keep this awesome program going.
We are going to manage the HFAY program this spring, until or unless someone else wants to. We don't want to step on anyone's toes, but we do want the program to continue. Brian has put too much into this, as have others over the years for it to die. And it has helped us become much better drivers, making it more enjoyable for our club, as i'm sure yours as well.
We are picking 5 tracks today. Post up your 5 picks below:
Or just go to Brian's site www.howfastareyou.com and pick 5 tracks from the "Time Trials" section and post below. (Site is not up all the time)
I hope to have the 5 tracks picked out by the weekend. From there you'll still have a couple weeks to get a January program in.
We'll have you send us your times like you had Brian in the past. And we'll post them at the beginning of the next month.
We haven't discussed in our club what if any charges for this spring 2018 series. I say let's just get some clubs doing HFAY again and we'll figure this out over the next number of months and have more for the Fall.
We are not changing any of the rules or anything, just helping keep a good thing going.
We hope your club will be joining us this spring.
Ty

Your html link got butchered... might want to type it out with spaces, looks like a profanity filter or anti-linking/redirect.

First I want to say thanks to Ty and the PDX crew for Pushing this along. I have been in contact with him over the last year and they knows my limited time available and quite frankly my skill level to develop a new site. They have offered to get thing moving and hopefully over time we will have a site back up and running. I have been trying with no luck in contacting the previous site admin. They main portion of the site is working off and on, I’m trying to preserve as much of the data as possible to preserve the past data. Hopefully we’ll be able to integrate it into something new.
Looking forward to keeping the HFAY tradition alive and rolling. Support Ty and help if you are able. I know we’ll still be running if the tracks fit in our space.
Thanks for your support over the years.

wish you the best of luck! it's with a heavy heart that i announce Washington DC GTG will not be participating in Season 25. This is the first time since HFAY started that we will not be participating. We are keeping our HFAY rules class racing active however will not be able to run HFAY tracks so were taking a break and hope to pick back up in Season 26 if all goes well for us.

HFAY permits a large number of motors. for brushed you can choose any kyosho stock motor available or the PN Mini-Z PNWC Official 70 Turn Stock Motor available at multiple retailers such as RCKenon or the shop here. it appears it is out of stock here though. for brushless, select from any manufacturer of 5600KV rating or less.

shows how much i paid attention to webpage i always looked to relevant forum threads which have lagged far behind what you've maintained on the website
thanks for sharing this, i would have continued to overlook this i'll see about updating the info posted here as well so there is some measure of continuity. i'll edit my previous post as well to remove obsolete links.
FYI, under the ' rules' link on the site, it goes to season 20.

Keeping things simple, our club decided to redo Season 22 tracks. We were just getting started then, so it will be interesting to see how we fair against our early efforts.
January = track #15
Feb = #16
March = 6
April = 2
May = 18.
I would love to hear from the other clubs who've participated in the past. How do we reach them?
Brian are you in for Salt Lake Mini Z
Archb, sorry we'll miss you for Washington DC GTG
Anyone know about Burncity Mini Z, Western Zydney Racers, or Murphs IRCR? What about Wyoming Mini Z. Have they ever participated? I know they have the Ice Melter in Feb.
Thanks, Ty

Here are all 20 of the HFAY tracks (just in case the site isn't accessible) I have combined them into 1 pdf with the printable versions.

Ty, Glad to hear you and the PDX crew are taking this on. I hope to try to run with you guys again once next summer. I have slowly acquired 2 wide Ls and the EasyLap Timing system, so we are within spitting distance of having a HFAY group in the Tri-cities. My main problem is that I am not connected in the local RC scene and I need some more racers. We have had up to 4 come race, but the other 2 haven't gotten hooked enough to buy their own cars. We have been running a few HFAY layouts and giving it a try, so maybe we will be able to get on board with your next series. Hope all is well!
Paul

Hey Paul, Yay, You've got the track, and just need 3 to race each heat officially (clockwise and counter), and you are in, there is not cost for series 25. We'll be doing track #16 for Feb. Lay it out, run your times, send them in, even if you have 2 drivers, this get's you racing and placed to see where you are against the rest of who've competed awhile. You will grow to 3 and more over the next month or two i know. We had 12 two weeks ago. But i fondly remember the time we had 2 hoping the 3rd guy would show. Stay connected to us on FB as well as use the info we are updating on our web page. Great to hear from you, and for sure, hope you can swing by this summer again. Cheers. Ty
