Can Iwaver PCB Damage Coz not have FET?
Haii i have 130 motor that can run 160KM - 210KM on Mini4x4 "3Cycle""using 3 tyre"
This motor really consume large power from battery since i heard i waver not have fet to upgrade so i think all freaking 130 motor can used maybe
If i put this motor can my PCB been damage? if is damage have any way to prevent it....
Go iwaver!!!!

It is possible that the motor may cause damage. If it draws more current than the FETs can handle, then they may burn up. You should be able to upgrade the FETs, but I have no clue what you would need without knowing the specifics of the motor.
Do you know how many winds the motor has? or any other details you could share?

I do not know who told you that Iwaver do not have FETs, but all speed controls require FETs to control voltage to the motor.

Haii minircw,
You won't get proportional control without FETs, and that's why Mini-Z and all its variants have FETs for regulating all motors onboard. Browse around the motor threads or simply run a search, you'll find all the info there is to prepping up your PCB for hotter motors. In most cases, almost all such info applies to both the Mini-Z and the Iwaver due to their similarities.
By the way, do you mean the real speed or scale speed when you mention your "160-210 kmph" speed rating? What's up with the "3cycle" and three tyre thing you're talking about?

Ermmm i don't know where i find that ppl say iwaver not have feet.. i will post to u later which ppl say that...
ermm u know that mini4x4 car by tamiya? that 3 cycle is modifed from 4 tyre and run at 3 tyre only in that slot it can run relly 210 KMPH it will shake that track
If u found that iwaver Upgrade feet can u post the pic?

The newer Iwaver board does not use the standard FET setup for steering, but still uses them for the drive motor.

mk2kompressor,
The picture that you have posted is Firelap and not iwaver.
Ninja is right about the FET is for motor control only since the iwaver 02M has independent servo to regulate the control.
Minircw, your 210KM/H should be a scale speed. Since even real car would have a lot of trouble reaching over 200KM/H unless it's really setup for racing. 210KM/H would be like a bullet in real speed and could not be contain even in a track or slot track.

Here click that youtube clip.. i bet u that car using standart motor 130 but advance motor...from okami i think i know just by hearing the sound when that boy take off from track... that is standart motor from shop huhuhu
my car 2 time more faster that that...coz me wired my rotor by my hand =) using silver wired very exp wired =( "my motor hear like f-15 jet"
this fu#ck motor even make battery can fry egg
from my investigaed the high end motor for MiniZ and Iwaver is using carbon compaud like ultra dash motor...
but for super motor.. if used that.. only 5 sec then that carbon will finish..
So.. for sake off iwaver can anybody post pic iwaver PCB that stack With Fets

Indenpendent servo, is only have in micro servo?
this micro servo is used in r/c flight right?"
is that true Mini Z servo is not standart micro servo?

minircw,
I have seen you clip, please note that the speed shown on the speed trap is actually scale speed. I'm well aware that it's already very fast, because even at scale it is still fairly fast.
If your car does really run two times that speed, how could you control it?
I mean the car on the clip is already too fast to control at that scale. Please read the below artical about scale and actual speed. The post might not be the most update, but it's accurate to a sense that it shows the typical top speed (actual) of a scale RC.
http://rcvehicles.about.com/od/basics/f/scalespeed.htm
I might be jumping to conclusion here, but have you seen 210Km/H on a real car?
Even an ENZO will need 10.8-11.2 sec to reach 210Km/H, I feel that it is very unlikely that a scale car can go over 150Km, since it would be in the hall of fame.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzo_Ferrari_%28car%29
However I'm always happy to be proven wrong. Please feel free to prove me wrong.

yes, mini-z does not have an actual servo. If you have taken apart you mini-Z or have change the steering plate you would find out.
http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/M...bo__10879.aspx
As you can see the servo is actually a Potentiometer, unlike the iwaver chassis that host a 3 pin off the shelf servo (iwaver 02M), that allow racer to upgrade according to their needs.

for sure me don't want my iwaver run that fast
my car that is not RC is slot car like it in the clip..
but what i mention is.. if that engine put at iwaver what part or chip in will be burn =) or
that motor just not performe like usual it does on that slot car

If you put the same motor in iwaver/Mini-Z the FET would burn due to the extrem current draw from the motor. MINI4WD shown in the clip use a very different system. Mini4WD is a direct current drive stright from the battery to the motor. RC uses a some sort of resister to regulate the speed/direction. In the case of Mini-Z/iwaver since it is digital proportional so it uses a FET to control the speed.
